 Day 1 : Welcome to Chile
 Pick up at Puerto Montt's airport and drive to our hostal in Puerto Varas or Ensenada.
 The afternoon is free to walk around in Puerto Varas and enjoy the view of the volcanoes and the Lago Llanquihue.
 If you feel like having an adventurous afternoon: come and raft with us on the Rio Petrohue.
 Chilean eat later on....so we have our dinner at 9pm. We enjoy typical food in Puerto Varas.
 After that, it´s your choice to go to the Hostel or enjoy the nightlife of Puerto Varas.

Day 2 :  To the South
 Flight to Chaiten. We have a short drive (1/2 hour) and a 45 minutes flight to reach Chaiten the door of Patagonia..
 Quick lunch in Chaiten and continue to Palena. The drive is around 3 to 4 hours , depending on the photo stops.
 In Palena some of our friends are waiting for us  with a typical "asado", the Chilean way for a "bbq" where we meet the rest of the team (gear boaters…).
 Night in a local Hostal.

Day 3 : On the water
 During the morning you'll be packing the gear, buying fishing licences and all of the other last minute stuff or taking a short hike around Palena if you want.  We have a short day paddling  down the river. This night we´ll spend in the house of Jorges parents. Jorge Vásquez, is a guide who has been working with us for 4 seasons now in Puerto Varas and along Palena expeditions...

Day 4 : Again on the rafts
 You start this day with a filling Chilean breakfast, just what you need before paddling  until don Roberto's house on the Tranquilo valley. Dinner at don Roberto's.

Day 5 : Horse ride.
 The day of democracy! Horse riding or day hike, your choice (do not forget wading the Tranquilo river). We do not have to pack, cause we stay at don Roberto's one more night.

Day 6 : Back on the water
 Paddling 4 to 6 hours on the river until meeting Washington Gallardo…yes, that is his real name. Tonight you stay at the Southern Cross Hotel…definitly five stars! …Yes camping again.

Day 7 : First village
Breakfast and good bye to Washington, short paddle to La Junta the first village we pass through, lunch and afternoon there. Tonight you'll have dinner, hot showers and real beds at Hospedaje Copihue.

Day 8 : Sea Kayaking
 Yesterday evening we checked the foot braces and ruder stuff on our sea kayak. Now in the morning put in the river for this first day of sea kayak. We will have on the water single boats and tandems... take your choice... Our gear boater is now with a motor.... this is Javier, another local guy.
 Today base camp is incredible at the foot of Melimoyu volcano just beside Puerto Bonito hotsprings.
 As there is nobody around, dinner will be cooked by your guides with a little help from everybody.

Day 9 : Reaching the Pacific
 Sea kayaking to Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda (PRMB).
 A long day paddling on our sea boats as we reach the Pacific influence... we have dinner and night beside the fjord at a great Hosteria in this village at the end of the world..

Day 10 :  Sea paddling
 Sea kayaking  on the fiord around PRMB. One day to enjoy the colors of the fjord, the impresive rain forest, sea lions, Toninas (local dolphins)...

 
We pack a light snack as we will have a great curanto back at the hosteria (local sea food speciality)..

Day 11 : Back to civilization
 Breakfast in PRMB and we walk to the  "airport" where our charter picks us up until Puerto Montt / Puerto Varas.... welcome back to civilization.
 Your lunch and afternoon are free until we meet us for the good bye dinner we will have in Puerto Varas... a good moment to share the memories and a Pisco Sour.
Night in Puerto Varas.

Day 12 : Transfer to the airport
 Transfer at Puerto Montt airport for your connecting flight in Santiago.
