A stray dog with a monkey on his back... not the figurative "monkey"... you know... like an addiction... but a real "sqeak squeak" fruit eating monkey... on his back... I'm not sure if this is a status thing among dogs in Peru, or monkeys for that matter, but as Jerry observed "it is what it is".
Sometimes travel is just odd.

Our 2009 Huascaran Expedition to Northern Peru's Cordillera Blanca Range took us high into the Andes and face to face with some of the highest sustained winds we've ever encountered on a mountain. In the end we reached 17,700ft. Coming down down safely to climb again made the trip a success! The friendships made it great!
