Kilimanjaro and Safari 2009
November 1-12, 2009
Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, meet and transfer to SG Resort or Leopard Hotel for overnight on Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2: Around 7:00am picked up from your hotel to Rombo district neaby Kenya border where there is Rongai route gate 2000m.Start a 3 - 4 hours walk up to the first cave 2800m for dinner and overnight.(B,L,D)
Day 3: After breakfast you will be walking from the first cave 2800m to the second one 3450m for 2 - 3 hours.Dinner and overnight at second cave camp.(B,L,D).
Day 4: Breakfast then walk from the Second cave 3450m to Mawenzi Tam camp 4330m which will take 3 - 4 hours.(B,L,D)
Day 5: Walk from Mawenzi Tarn 4330m to Kibo camp 4703m which takes from 2 - 3 hours.In the mid-night you walk from Kibo huts to the summit 5895m via Gilman's Point,Hans Meyer cave and Williams Point to Horombo huts which takes approximately 6 - 7 hours.Overnight Horombo huts.(B,L,D)
Day 6: Leave Horombo huts 3720m to Marangu gate via Mandara huts 2700m.It takes 5 - 6 hour,here those who reached Gilman's Point or Uhuru Peak are awarded certificates then picked up back to the hotel in Moshi/Arusha.(B,L,D).
Day 7: Transfer to Safari extensions. those reached Uhuru Peak are awarded certificates before transfer back to SG Resort or Leopard Hotel for dinner and overnight.
PART II: KENYA
Day 8 : Pick up from Namanga and transfer to Amboseli National Park. Afternoon gamedrive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 9 : Full day at Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon gamedrives. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 10 : After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon gamedrive follows. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Lodge.
Day 11 : Full day at Tsavo West National Park with morning and afternoon gamedrives. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Lodge.
Day 12 : After early morning gamedrive and breakfast, depart for Nairobi. On arrival, transfer to the airport for flight home. END OF SERVICES.
The price includes: All government taxes and levies, BB accommodation on day 1 and HB accoommodation on day 7, all transfers as specified, park / camping / rescue fees, local evacuation AAR medical insurances, fullboard accommodation in tents while on trek, a service of professional / knowledgeable fluent in English mountain guide, porters, cooks, 2 litres of bottled water on day 2 and well boiled / treated water through the trek.
Fullboard accomodation in safari lodges , all park entry fees, vehicle and driver guide, 8 gamedrives in a private safari tour van with uhf radio and game viewing roof and all airport transfers as specified, mineral water and soft drinks in the vehicle only.
Not Included: Entry visas, flights, tips, laundry, personal mountain gear, drinks in hotels and lodges, alcoholic and soft drinks while on kili, and all items of personal expenses / nature.
